FAQs
Do vets recommend martingale collars?
Yes, many veterinarians and professional trainers recommend martingale collars for dogs that tend to slip out of traditional flat collars or pull during walks. The gentle tightening action offers safe behavior correction without putting harmful pressure on the trachea.
Should a martingale collar be left on all the time?
Martingale collars are generally designed for walking and training sessions under supervision. It is recommended to remove the collar when your dog is crated or left unattended to prevent accidental catching or snagging.
How do I measure my dog for this collar?
Use a flexible soft measuring tape to measure the circumference around the middle of your dog's neck where the collar naturally sits. For this large size, ensure the measurement falls comfortably within the 17 inch to 25 inch range.
