    Another Dr. Melaxin product added to my routine

    I have come to love pretty much everything Dr. Melaxin has to offer. The Cactox products have such a light, fresh, after-the-desert-rain scent. I have learned that my combo skin, which would dry out easily with many standard cleansers, actually does better with cleansing OIL. This cleansing oil is light, and after cleansing, makes my skin feeling moisturized without being greasy. That is something that has been super difficult to find all these decades. While this pore relief scrub cleansing oil does have the red "beads", I don't experience any noticeable "scrub" with this cleansing oil. Despite that, I still use this daily to receive fresh, clean, moisturized skin.

    Pleasantly surprised!

    I've tried a few cleansing oils over the years, and this one was a pleasant surprise. The scent is light and really nice without being overpowering. I normally stick to EWG Verified products with higher ratings, but after looking into the ingredient list and seeing which specific ingredients were bringing the score down, I felt comfortable giving this one a try. I also ran the ingredients by my esthetician, and she had no concerns with the ingredients. One thing I really liked is, that it doesn't leave my skin feeling oily after rinsing. Most cleansing oils leave behind a film in my experience, but this one washes off clean and leaves my skin feeling fresh. I've used it both with makeup and on bare skin, and while it removes makeup "ok", I actually prefer using it as part of my morning routine on makeup-free skin. It leaves my face feeling clean, soft, and refreshed without completely stripping it. Overall, this was a great new product to try!

    Refreshing

    I use a cleansing oil almost every night to remove my makeup and over the course of time I've tried a lot of different formulas. There have been some that I haven't liked but this is definitely a good one! I've had really good luck with Dr. Melaxin's skincare overall and I generally like the CACTOX line so I'm really not surprised that I like this. It has a thin consistency and while it does contain scattered tiny beads within the formula that are supposed to be exfoliating, I hardly notice them. This easily and thoroughly removes my makeup and I appreciate that it washes away cleanly without leaving any kind of film on my face. I also really enjoy the scent! It has a mild fresh, "green" fragrance (similar to that which you would find in the other products from this line) and I find the scent to be very refreshing. I have nothing bad to say about this--this is great. If you're looking for a new cleansing oil to try, this is absolutely worth picking up.

    Great Scent and Feel, Promising First Impressions

    I've only been using this cleanser for a couple of days, so I can't speak yet to long-term results, but my first impressions are very positive. The standout feature for me is the smell-it's fresh, clean, and really pleasant without being overpowering. The oil is mostly transparent, with small red flecks that I assume are cactus fruit particles. The texture is nice and smooth. I'm not sure why I expected something a little thicker, but this is well described as an oil. I also found it gentler than I anticipated. Since it's described as a scrub cleansing oil, I expected a stronger exfoliating effect, but the scrubbing sensation is fairly mild. There's still a bit of exfoliation, just not anything harsh or gritty. Most importantly, it felt good on my skin and left my face feeling clean and refreshed afterward, without feeling stripped or overly dry. It'll take more time to see whether it noticeably improves pores or blackheads, but I genuinely enjoy the scent and the feel of this product, so I'm happy to keep it in my routine and see how it performs over the next few weeks.
