  A Hidden Gem for Aging Eyes

  I already like Dr. Melaxin as a brand, so I was very curious about this eye cream. At 52, post-menopausal, with mature dry skin, I'm picky with anything around my eyes. My eye area needs hydration and support, but I also have to be careful because heavy eye creams can clog the glands around the eyes and cause issues for me.This is not a basic "moisturizing eye cream." The ingredient list is much more active than that. It has retinal, vitamin C/ascorbic acid, ferulic acid, niacinamide, panthenol, ceramides, hyaluronic acid, cholesterol, resveratrol, peptides, and soothing ingredients like bisabolol. That is a lot for one eye product, so I would not treat this casually if you are sensitive or brand new to retinoids.Texture-wise, I was pleasantly surprised. It feels like a real eye cream, but it is not greasy or suffocating. It spreads easily, absorbs well, and sits nicely under the eye area without leaving that thick waxy layer some anti-aging eye creams have. I only use a small amount because with retinal around the eyes, more is not better.For me, this is a nighttime eye cream, not something I would use twice a day. I also would not pair it with a bunch of other strong actives right up against the eye area. I use stronger treatments like TNS and Calecim in my routine, so I look at this as a different kind of product: more of an active brightening/retinal support eye cream rather than a growth factor powerhouse.What I noticed was smoother-looking under eyes, better hydration, and a slightly brighter, more rested look. It is not going to erase deep wrinkles or fix dark circles overnight, but it does make the eye area look better maintained. That is exactly what I want from a product like this.Who is this best for? Someone who already tolerates actives, wants an eye cream that does more than basic moisture, and understands that retinal takes consistency. Mature skin, dullness, fine lines, and crepey texture are where this makes the most sense.Who may not love it?   Brightens dark spots, slowly but surely

  This eye cream has a gel-like texture and dispenses from a squeeze tube in super small portions. It's a light yellow/orange color, but it blends in without leaving any tint behind. I am hoping that this product will help with pigmentation around my eye area. It is highly concentrated with vitamin A as well, so there is also a warning about not over-consuming that and to check other products you are using as well alongside this. Dr. Melaxin has made some really incredible peels in the past, and this is right up there on the list of "impressive" products. I trust this brand and would recommend their products. This one is also hydrating and doesn't feel heavy on the skin. Even in the midst of the heat of peak summer it's bearable. But I would definitely reserve usage of this product for the eveningtime before bed. And don't forget your SPF the following day!!
