FAQs
How to cover a cockatiel cage?
You can slide an elastic mesh seed catcher around the lower perimeter of the cage to trap daily mess while keeping the top open for air. For night time sleeping, a separate light-blocking fabric sheet can be placed completely over the top of the cage.
What can be used as a bird cage cover?
A breathable nylon mesh skirt is ideal for catching seeds and feathers during the day without blocking light. For night covers, lightweight and breathable cotton sheets or specialized fitted fabric covers work best.
Can I use a blanket to cover a bird cage?
It is not recommended to use heavy blankets because they can severely restrict airflow and cause overheating. Instead, opt for lightweight, breathable nylon mesh guards for mess prevention or thin cotton sheets for nighttime cover.
