FAQs
How do you entertain a baby in a rear facing car seat?
Using an extra wide backseat mirror like this one helps significantly because infants enjoy seeing their own reflection and making eye contact with you. You can also hang soft, travel safe toys from the grab handle or play calming music during your journey.
Can you put a rear facing baby seat in the front?
It is strongly recommended to install rear facing baby seats in the back seat of the vehicle to maximize safety. Placing them in the front seat can be extremely dangerous due to active passenger side airbag deployment systems.
Why do baby seats face backwards?
Rear facing seats provide significantly better support for an infant's fragile head, neck, and spine in the event of a sudden stop or collision. It distributes the impact forces evenly across the shell of the car seat rather than jolting the child's body forward.
