Description
The Drill America 17/64 Inch Cobalt Drill Bit Pack of 12 DWDCO Series is engineered for heavy-duty industrial applications involving hard and high tensile strength metals. Manufactured to National Aerospace Standard 907, these professional-grade jobber length drill bits contain extra cobalt alloy to provide superior heat resistance and high red hardness.
This allows them to operate at speeds up to thirty percent faster than standard high-speed steel tools when drilling through tough materials such as stainless steel, titanium, and inconel. Designed with a 135-degree split point, these bits self-center instantly upon contact to eliminate walking and ensure precise penetration.
The right-hand cut spiral flutes efficiently evacuate chips up and out of the cut to minimize clogging and overheating during extended use. Featuring a standard round shank configuration, these versatile drill bits are fully compatible with a wide variety of standard chucks and tool-holding systems.
How to use
- Secure the drill bit firmly into a compatible drill press or handheld drill chuck.
- Select appropriate cutting speeds suitable for high-tensile strength metals and apply steady, moderate pressure.
- Use cutting fluid or coolant to prolong bit life when drilling tough materials like stainless steel.
