FAQs
What are the loudest DS18 tweeters?
The DS18 PRO-TW220B is among the loudest options available, featuring an extremely high sensitivity rating of 104 dB. This allows the super bullet tweeters to deliver massive volume and clear high frequencies with standard amplifier power.
What are the pros and cons of DS18 tweeters?
The main advantages include exceptional brightness, high power handling, and an integrated capacitor filter that guards against low-frequency damage. The primary consideration is their pro-audio bullet design, which requires accurate custom mounting space due to the magnet and frame size compared to basic factory dome tweeters.
Are DS18 tweeters waterproof?
No, the PRO-TW220B aluminum super bullet tweeters are designed for internal vehicle installations or dry pro-audio environments. They do not carry a marine-grade waterproof rating and should be protected from direct water exposure.
Are these DS18 tweeters authentic USA imports available in India?
Yes, they are authentic USA imports. Dropy India sources these genuine products directly from the United States, ensuring Indian car audio enthusiasts receive original equipment with verified performance specifications.
What type of amplifier or wiring setup do these tweeters require?
These speakers operate at a 4 Ohm impedance and work best when paired with an amplifier capable of delivering clean RMS power close to their 120 Watts program rating. Because they include built-in bass blocker capacitors, they can safely share a channel with midrange speakers or connect to dedicated high-frequency outputs.
