  The best hair dryer I have ever used

  Ok, I get it now. I am not a girly girl and have never understood the hype around luxury hair devices. However, having used the Dyson Supersonic Travel, I can't believe I got along with my cheap, heavy hair dryer for so long. Right out of the box you can see why this product is so beloved. Every inch of it oozes thoughtful, bleeding-edge tech and design. I never understood the hollow barrel design and I still kind of don't. The wind comes from a fan in the circumference of the barrel, not through the hollow part itself. The wind is very powerful and VERY quiet. Everyone in my family is sensitive to sound and whenever I blowdry my hair I have to go to a different part of the house and for me it's just a matter of endurance. But this thing is so quiet, it doesn't bother me at all. It's very lightweight and the weight is distributed much better than a traditional hair dryer, so my arms get so much less tired. It comes with one attachment that clips on magnetically and doesn't come off during drying. The vent at the bottom detaches so you can clean it of any collected dust or hair. The controls are simple: high and low speed and high and low heat, and an on/off button. Of course it's dual voltage. The only thing I would improve is the cord, which is very large. The length is great, but does it need to be so thick? I guess with a machine this powerful maybe it does, but it would wrap up smaller if it were thinner. That's a minor quibble though because when it's wrapped up around the handle, it isn't wider than the head. The performance is - well, it's still a hair dryer, and it just… dries hair. But the process is so much more pleasant. Its so light and efficient but I find that I'm blow drying my hair more and the smoothness means fewer tangles and more happiness. I'm off for two weeks and will be taking this with me. Very excited to use my new fancy hair dryer!

  I Absolutely Love This Hair Dryer!

  The Dyson Supersonic Travel Hair Dryer is perfect for anyone who wants high-performance styling while on the go. By shrinking the technology of the original Supersonic into a more portable unit, this tool balances power with convenience.At just 2.6" by 8.7" inches and weighing only 0.7 lbs, this travel version is smaller and lighter than the standard model but, with 1220 watts of power, it is very efficient compared to a lot of travel hair dryers. It delivers great airflow and dried my hair in about half the time of my old blow dryer and my hair felt so soft afterwards. Included was the concentrator attachment but all magnetic attachments that fit the original Supersonic or the Supersonic Nural will fit this Travel version.For travel, this is the best. It can handle voltage between 100V and 240V which means if the plug fits into the socket, you can use it. For travel to some countries, you will need to have an adapter rated to 1300W. The 6.5 foot cord length provides plenty of length to reach mirrors in hotel rooms where outlets are sometimes located inconveniently.The Dyson Supersonic Travel Hair Dryer is an excellent investment for frequent travelers or if you want to have a high-quality dryer for the gym. It offers the premium experience of the full-sized Dyson dryers but is light enough to take anywhere.

  Expensive but checks all the boxes

  I didn't want to love it but gosh dangit I do. I've tried multiple hair dryers from $25 to $500. They're usually either too bulky (hard to be precise when your hand is over a foot from your head) or too erratic and intense (like being in a wind tunnel). Being travel size, this one is perfectly sized if your hair takes a long time to dry or you're trying to be precise if just drying your bangs. It's powerful without being over the top, and easy to direct with the concentrator nozzle. Is it actually life changing and do you really need it? Well no, it's a hair dryer. If you're expecting it to solve all your hair problems forever, you may not find it worth the price. But if you're like me and those little nuisances stack up and you're willing to pay a premium for a dryer that checks all your boxes, it may work for you too.

  compact, lightweight, powerful, and cute; dries quickly without excess heat

  I ordered this dryer based on its small size. I do travel pretty frequently, but I also hoped this would work as my regular dryer (spoiler: it does/will) 1-2 times a week. This little dryer has everything I loved about the full-size Dyson Supersonic dryer and none of the things I didn't like about it. I love my Airwrap, and really liked the idea of the dryer, but for my needs it was a bit bulky to store (yes, my fault for having so many hair tools to begin with) and it felt almost too powerful--like a wind tunnel for my long, thick hair, and I ended up with tangles (and also blowing actual skincare bottles off shelves, but that's a whole other story). I mean, I like power, but the full-size was just too much. This travel version might not be able to brag about the same wattage, but it still dries hair really quickly, without the weight. It's just easier to maneuver. The airflow is still plenty strong, and this dryer has the same intelligent heat control, which means less damage and no overheating sensitive scalps. This gives me a smooth blowout with no tangles and no frizz. As a plus: to me, it makes less of that "screaming" sound that at least the older models of the Supersonic did. Despite the lighter weight, this is well-constructed and should withstand packing, unpacking, and frequent use without any drama. I do like pink, so I also love the color. I would recommend this for anyone who travels a lot and/or needs a dryer to take to the gym/pool/etc, and for anyone who wants the technology and power of a Dyson dryer in a smaller, easier-to-maneuver size.
