FAQs
What do the indicator lights mean on the Eaton GFCI receptacle?
During normal operation, the indicator light remains off. A solid amber or red light indicates a tripped condition due to a ground fault or surge, while a continuously blinking light signifies the unit has reached its end of life and must be replaced.
Why does my Eaton GFCI outlet refuse to reset?
If a newly installed unit refuses to reset or the light stays on, the line and load wires are likely reversed. Turn off the main circuit breaker and verify that the source wires are attached to the designated line terminals.
How often does the self-test mechanism run?
The internal self-test mechanism automatically runs periodic checks on the internal circuitry to ensure continuous shock protection without requiring manual user testing.
