FAQs
What is the best vest harness for dogs?
A quality vest harness like the EcoBark step-in model is ideal because it distributes pressure evenly across the chest rather than the neck, preventing strain and choking. Breathable mesh designs also ensure maximum comfort during longer walks.
What kind of harness is best for a dog with a deep chest?
Dogs with deep chests or unusual body proportions benefit greatly from adjustable step-in harnesses with flexible mesh and secure fastener technology. These features allow the harness to contour naturally to their unique frame for a snug, escape-proof fit.
Why do dog trainers not recommend harnesses?
Some traditional or poorly fitted harnesses can encourage pulling behaviors if they place pressure on improper areas or lack proper control points. However, well-designed front-control or step-in vest harnesses are widely recommended for everyday safe walking when properly sized.
