FAQs
What are compostable garbage bags used for?
Compostable garbage bags are used to collect organic household waste, such as kitchen food scraps, fruit peels, coffee grounds, and yard waste. They serve as eco-friendly liners for small wastebaskets and countertop bins, ensuring easy transfer to composting facilities without leaving behind microplastics.
Are compostable garbage bags worth it?
Yes, they are highly beneficial for individuals looking to reduce their plastic footprint. Unlike traditional plastic bags that persist in landfills for centuries, these plant-based bags degrade completely into organic humus within 6 months, making them a sustainable choice for waste management.
How should these compostable bags be stored to ensure a long shelf life?
Because these plant-based bags are designed to break down when exposed to moisture and heat, they should be stored in a cool, dry, and dark place away from direct sunlight. For the best performance, it is recommended to use them within 6 to 12 months of purchase.
