  Fragrance free hydration that actually works

  I've always liked Elizabeth Arden products and I'm pretty familiar with the brand, so I knew what to expect with this moisturizer. The consistency is creamy and rich but not thick or heavy, it spreads easily and sinks in well. I really appreciate that it's fragrance free, which is a big plus for my sensitive skin. It's very moisturizing and comforting without feeling greasy, and my skin feels soft and calm after using it. Price wise, it's on the higher side, but that's expected with Elizabeth Arden. In my opinion, the quality is there and it's worth it.

  Great When I Need A Lot Of Moisture Protection and Also A Great Primer

  I didn't expect this to become my "protect me from the elements" moisturizer, mostly because I've been burned before by products pretending to be rugged when they melt at the first sign of wind. But this surprised me. First, though, FYI I have very sensitive, northern European skin, so I'm careful about what I put on my face and always patch test first. I have combination skin, that's starting to show fine lines. I already know that I need to switch out my moisturizer depending on my needs of the day. I travel a lot from climate to climate and I learned early on that if I have to change my outerwear, I likely need to change my moisturizer. I took this into the exact conditions that usually make my face feel like a neglected houseplant, spending time in wintery, windblown conditions and airplane cabins on long haul travel, and this actually kept up and stopped me from feeling like I'd been freeze‑dried. I think this would also be good when I'm spending days on the water. Here's some more info. ➡️ TREATS ME WELL WHEN THE AIR IS TRYING TO STEAL MY MOISTURE. ➜ When I'm skiing or out in the wind, this gives my face a soft, flexible layer that keeps me from getting that "my skin is about to crack open" feeling. ➜ On long flights, this doesn't evaporate after an hour, it hangs on in a way that makes me feel slightly less like a desiccated raisin by the time we land. ➜ The finish is cushioned without being greasy, which is ideal because I don't deal well with feeling like I've shellacked my face just to survive the environment. ➡️ LOVE THE KEY HERO INGREDIENTS THAT ARE USUALLY ONLY FOUND IS UPSCALE PRODUCTS. ➜ Ectoin and saccharide isomerate give this a kind of long‑wear hydration that makes sense when I'm in drying environments. ➜ Glycerin, betaine, and squalane keep my skin comfortable without the heavy, sticky feel of the old Eight Hour balm, which I found way too oily for my skin. ➜ This does contain silicones, and a lot of similar products do, and a double cleanse is needed after I use this. ➜ FYI, this is nothing like the original petrolatum‑lanolin 8 Hour Formula that I think my Gran used. This feels cleaner, lighter, and more aligned with the fact that I do, in fact, live in 2026. ➡️ I LIKE THAT THIS ALSO WORKS AS A GREAT MAKEUP PRIMER BECAUSE THE FINISH MAKES EVERYTHING GLIDE. ➜ Although I didn't really get this for this purpose, my foundation goes on smoother with this underneath, especially on days when my skin is dehydrated enough that makeup usually clings to every tiny patch of rebellion. ➜ This keeps makeup from breaking apart halfway through the day, which is a small miracle considering how chaotic my skin can get in dry air. ➜ I just give this a minute to settle before applying anything, because if I rush, I fully deserve the chaos that follows. ➡️ EVEN MY SUNSCREEN LAYERS WELL ON TOP OF THIS AS LONG AS I GIVE IT A MOMENT TO SET. ➜ Most of my cream and lotion sunscreens go over this without any pilling at all, which is shocking because my combo skin just loves to pill things. ➜ Even mineral sunscreens sit better on top of this than they usually do. ➡️ I THINK THIS IS FAIRLY PRICED WHEN I LOOK AT THE FORMULA AND THE PACKAGING ➜ The plastic jar is good, and the thick tamper‑proof seal makes the whole thing feel premium. I really appreciate the REAL tamper proof seal. This seal also really keeps the cream fresh until opened. ➜ At $45 for 1.7 ounces, this sits in that prestige pricing tier which seems fair. ➜ The way this performs in harsh conditions makes the cost feel okay to me, especially considering how many moisturizers have failed me in the exact same situations. Overall, this hasn't become my every day moisturizer, because I really only like to use silicones when I need to, even the lightweight good ones like this moisturizer has. But I need to when I know the environment is going to be rude to my face. This isn't the most hyped skincare products, and it's not pretending to be a miracle, but I really like it when I need it and it's been a good option for me.   Goes on milky smooth

  This moisturizer felt so decadent from the moment I applied it. It goes on milky and creamy, then blends effortlessly into the skin without feeling heavy or greasy. My skin immediately felt very soft, smooth, and supple, with a comfortable, nourished finish. It absorbs nicely while still leaving the skin feeling hydrated, making it great for both day and night use. As expected, Elizabeth Arden is a long trusted brand name, and the quality really shows in how refined and luxurious the formula feels on the skin.

  This is a great moisturizing cream that made my skin so smooth and soft!

  This Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream is great! It is a thick cream that feels nice when applied to my skin. A little goes a long way, you don't need much. It is very moisturizing without being greasy or heavy. It soaks right into my skin. It makes my skin smoother, softer, and moisturized. I also noticed my foundation going on smoother after using this! It hasn't caused me any breakouts or any other issues with my skin. I really like this cream, especially how good my makeup looks after using it!
