10/10
This is a quite decent radio. The shortwave band, still would be better in a rural environment than an urban one (but I DO like the fact that it's 3.2-22 Mhz, as advertised). AM and FM come in sharp. There is a light on top of radio, which makes it ideal in a blackout situation or for camping.Things that can be improved upon:Add a weather-band feature, and make the shortwave function better for city dwellers.

Fantastic Radio With Lots of Features In a Small Shipment!
I've been wanting and waiting to get one of these for over a year now. Honestly, though, if you just want a bluetooth speaker, there are superior options out there. Knobs are smooth and sure. I have it sitting next to my computer and it does great with the external antenna.AM is a mixed bag. For some that'll be great. The fit and finish are surely peak tier. I kinda wish it didn't have the PLL circuit, but I knew going in that it would.FM performance is good with both internal and external antennas. I was listening to a more bass-substantial song and every time a bass note hit it sounded appreciate someone turned the volume down on the rest of the music. I don't listen to AM much, so it's a non-defect.Bluetooth performs fantastic and pairs simply and quickly. The bass extends faaaaar too much into the midrange so speaking vocals sound boomy and muffled. Surely needs an external antenna, in my opinion. I have no doubt this radio will last for years. Still not sure if I'd get the BT model again, though.OK, so the sound. Very solid, highly attractive radio. But now that I have gotten it in hand I'm honestly a little disappointed.First the good: the build quality is phenomenal. Given the presence of interference, it surely fares better with the external one. The sound is a mixed bag. Stations lock in effectively when tuning - I'm sure that's due to a PLL tuning system. This can make female vocals sound richer, but male vocals tend to get stuffy and weighty.Overall, it's a beautiful radio that errs on the side of being too warm and boomy. It was super weird. Definitely not excellent for critical listening. But, it's a nice add-on. But, fantastic radio all in all.

An magnificent option for a rugged emergency radio, and not just for emergency apply.
This little device turned out to be a pleasant surprise. It seems durable in the hand, and I get the sense that it could grasp a few bumps or even a drop without much trouble. I am not entirely sure when I would work with it, but it is a fine extra to have. While it is not high end, it has enough bass and clarity in the highs to make music and voice sound immaculate and enjoyable. It is not the most chic looking device, but it seems good sufficient, and the wood grain pattern on the outside adds a nice touch of character. It is a bit smaller than I expected, but that works to its advantage. It offers multiple playback options, including both FM and AM radio. At first, I was not expecting much, but once I powered it on and started using it, I was genuinely impressed. For the price, I think it delivers fantastic worth, and I will definitely be keeping it on my desk going forward. The build grade is good. It takes up very little space, making it a ideal fit for a desk, shelf, or nightstand. I tuned into a random FM station and was immediately drawn in. Overall, this is a fun and useful item with solid performance and thoughtful design. There is also a compact hand strap attached. The sound caliber is as it turns out quite solid for a speaker of this size and value.
