FAQs
Are you replacing an old 4-prong jack or installing a new line?
This wall plate is perfect for both scenarios. It can replace an outdated standard single-port faceplate or serve as the termination point for a newly routed dual-line telephone system.
Do you need help identifying the wire colors for your installation?
Standard telephone wiring typically uses Red and Green for Line 1, and Black and Yellow for Line 2. Secure these to the corresponding screw connector posts on the back of the jack.
Can this wall plate be used for internet connections?
This plate uses RJ11 6P4C connectors designed primarily for voice, telephone lines, fax, and DSL internet setups. It is not compatible with RJ45 Ethernet cables used for high-speed local networks.
