FAQs
What is the EVH D-Tuna®?
The EVH D-Tuna is a patented mechanical tuning device designed for electric guitars equipped with Floyd Rose-style locking tremolo systems. It allows players to instantly drop their low E string to D and back with a simple motion.
How does an EVH D-Tuna work?
It mounts directly onto the fine-tuner of the low E string on a locking tremolo bridge. Pulling or pushing the device alters the string tension precisely, dropping the pitch from standard E down to D instantly.
What are the disadvantages of Drop D tuning?
Drop D tuning lowers the tension of the lowest string, which can occasionally cause slight intonation shifts or require bridge spring recalibration if switching frequently between various string gauges.
Are these EVH products on Dropy authentic USA imports?
