Little/light display that's excellent for monitoring a video/audio stream being sent remotely.

As stated earlier, I was using a VGA connection on my last monitor, and had not been using the 3.5mm audio connection from my Amcrest NVR to power speakers, so the sound portion of my surveillance system is still brand-new to me.Overall, while I do find that the device may need a tiny bit of refinement, it will fit the needs of probably 99% of all users that need a surveillance monitor. Color saturation/brightness/contrast can all be adjusted with the menu, and once you get it figured out, the monitor is capable of remarkably good image reproduction. The higher resolution and integrated sound of HDMI were a welcomed feature addition which enhanced my overall surveillance experience. After removing my former monitor from the existing VESA mount (100mm x 100mm), I realized that my VESA mount also included holes for the 75mm x 75mm incorporated into the Amcrest monitor, so installing it to the VESA arm was as simple as removing four (4) screws, and then reinstalling them onto the Amcrest monitor. As assumed, it paired perfectly with the rest of my Amcrest ecosystem, and will now be a permanent fixture. The downward facing connectors also help the monitor keep as low profile as can be against any face behind it, as no cables are poking out behind it.After hooking up the power cable and clicking the power button, the monitor boot time is remarkably quick, so the signal is reproduced within a couple of seconds after clicking the power button. Also appreciated is the LED backlighting, which is great for energy conservation since this monitor is intended (a la advertisement for 24/7 surveillance monitor) for 24/7 usage.While the integrated speakers are much appreciated in this monitor to be a correct all-in-one solution for a security monitor, I do wish that the speaker/sound quality was higher. The source for the video/audio in my case is an Amcrest NVR, so I hoped for a seamless install -- and truer words could not be spoken. Once setup, it's truly a set it and forget it system. Notably, I can't speak 100% as to the quality of the microphones on the Amcrest cameras, as I've always been more interested in the image portion, so it's without fail possible that the monitor's speakers are producing the same quality audio signal that they receive from the camera. However, it took a bit of fumbling around with the monitor buttons to get the screen into HDMI mode -- but once setup, it's been running steady for the last 7 days without a hiccup. It's sleek, low power consumption, fantastic video reproduction, and adequate audio reproduction make it a powerful competitor when compared to the competition. The audio is distinctly "tinny" -- but admittedly I didn't have high expectations for integrated speakers -- so I wasn't too disappointed. At first glance, the plain-jane cardboard presentation was kind of disappointing, as I'm now applied to seeing Amcrest's up-to-date and vibrant packing on the rest of their products. The sound craftsmanship is nice enough to hear what's being said and also to pick up background noise (appreciate chirping birds). If I were in the market for another surveillance monitor, I wouldn't hesitate to use this monitor to power up the given solution. Nevertheless, the plain packaging is likely more eco-friendly and still got the job done -- which was to protect the article until it made it to me -- it accomplished that task properly and came in perfect shape. The thinner profile of the Amcrest monitor was much appreciated as well, as it allows the mount to snug up closer to the wall where it is mounted. I have the monitor displaying a set of 8x 4K Amcrest IP cameras, and the extra resolution available on this monitor (1080P) is worth every penny (since I was using VGA beforehand, 1080P was not available). I retained the existing VGA connection for redundancy, but also utilized the HDMI connection (which offers both extremely superior resolution, but also incorporated sound). Inside the box is pretty straightforward, with the power cable, HDMI cord, the stand, and the monitor -- each nicely packaged and protected with a fine & thick layer of styrofoam.I immensely appreciated the addition of the HDMI cable, as the monitor the Amcrest unit is replacing (an former Acer) was VGA/DVI only, and this saved me from digging through one of my parts bins for a spare HDMI cable. I'll note that since I had both HDMI and VGA hooked up, the monitor defaulted to VGA mode (which is understandable), given that numerous surveillance systems still rely on this antiquated system connection.

Great Kitchen TV. Absolutely Wonderful Picture
I bought this for a fairly unusual application as an alignment monitor for an electron microscope. This monitor was plug and play and worked perfectly for me. I needed a BNC connection that could holder a 512x512 NTSC signal.

A fine-caliber TN screen
Three days ago I purchased this monitor so I could hook it up to my CCTV DVR. I have no idea what is incorrect with the original acquire. It has never worked. I am still waiting for a response from the vendor after three days without a monitor for my surveillance system.UPDATE; The replacement monitor works just fine the moment I connected it. My DVR works perfectly when hooked up to my PC using the VGA cable, but nothing happens when I hook the same VGA cable to this monitor. The power button seems to work, as does the channel button, on the monitor and the remote, but the menu button doesn't do anything at all on the remote or the monitor.

This Eyoyo 22-inch monitor turned out to be a solid budget-friendly option for basic work with. I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars. The speakers are built-in, but they're just typical, so I wouldn't rely on them for anything beyond basic sound. The picture is pointed and radiant at 1080p, with multiple input options (HDMI, VGA, BNC, AV, USB), which makes it simple to hook up to security cameras, PCs, or even a streaming stick. Setup is plain, and I appreciate that it comes with a remote for quick adjustments.The screen is highly radiant out of the box, so I had to turn it down for comfortable indoor utilize. The main downside is the build quality-the plastic frame and stand feel inexpensive and featherweight, though they do the job.All in all, it's a versatile and affordable monitor greatest suited for CCTV or as a secondary screen.
