Description
The FJSaDobo Carbon Brush Assembly is engineered to maintain optimal electrical performance in 5kW to 8kW portable gas and diesel generators. This essential replacement component acts as the critical link for transferring electrical current between stationary wiring and the rotating rotor slip ring inside your generator alternator.
Built with durable carbon sticks and a secure plastic mounting base complete with pre-drilled screw holes, it delivers reliable operation and stable power output. Over time, generator carbon brushes naturally wear down, which can lead to frustrating power losses or visible sparking inside the unit.
Replacing worn components with this precision-fit assembly restores efficient generator function and extends equipment lifespan. Designed to fit a wide array of popular generator models including Honda GX340 and GX390 engines, Predator, Champion, Firman, Generac, and Powermate units, this package includes four brush assemblies to ensure you have reliable backups on hand for ongoing maintenance.
How to use
- Ensure the generator is completely turned off, cooled down, and disconnected from any power sources or fuel lines.
- Locate the generator alternator cover and remove the screws to access the old carbon brush assembly.
- Disconnect the wire terminals and unscrew the worn brush holder.
- Position the new FJSaDobo carbon brush assembly in place, secure it with the mounting screws, reconnect the wire terminals, and reattach the alternator cover securely before restarting the generator.
