FAQs
What is a block type expansion valve?
A block type expansion valve is a compact automotive air conditioning component that houses the thermal sensing element and valve ports within a single metal block. It regulates the flow of liquid refrigerant into the evaporator core based on temperature and pressure changes.
What is the use of an expansion valve?
An expansion valve reduces the pressure of liquid refrigerant entering the evaporator, transforming it into a cold mist that absorbs heat from the vehicle interior to provide air conditioning.
Which vehicles are compatible with the Four Seasons 39152 expansion valve?
This rear air conditioning expansion valve is designed to fit select models including the Chevrolet Uplander (2005 through 2009), Buick Terraza (2005 through 2007), Saturn Relay (2005 through 2007), and Pontiac Montana (2006).
