How to use
- Place the gauge legs on the bevel and lower the rotating dial segment until it rests flush on the angled surface to measure the preparation angle.
- For misalignment, rest the base legs on one plate and lower the tip onto the adjacent plate to read the height difference.
- Set the base on the parent metal and extend the center pointer down to the highest point of the weld cap for reinforcement, and extend the sliding pointer to the weld face or toe, adjust until stable, and secure with the locking screw to read throat and leg dimensions.
