Product details
Description
Galapagos Cypress Tank Mulch Forest Floor Bedding is a premium, all-natural substrate specially designed for tropical and humidity-loving reptiles and amphibians. Sourced sustainably from 100% natural cypress timber by-products, this forest floor bedding excels at absorbing moisture and regulating essential ambient humidity inside your terrarium. The smaller bark texture replicates a wild forest habitat, allowing your pets to engage in natural burrowing, foraging, and feeding behaviors.
To ensure a pristine and secure environment for your exotic pets, the substrate undergoes a thorough washing and sieving process to remove tiny dust particles and debris. It is completely free from added chemicals, salt, oils, and parasites. This versatile bedding is an ideal choice for a variety of species, including Ball Pythons, Royal Pythons, Iguanas, Red-Tailed Boas, Gopher Snakes, Monitors, Wood Turtles, Ornate Box Turtles, Frogs, and Toads.
For bioactive enclosures and terrariums with live tropical plants, it can be mixed with coconut-based soils to create a nutrient-rich, moisture-retentive base.
How to use
- Spread a layer of the cypress mulch evenly across the bottom of the clean terrarium enclosure, aiming for a depth appropriate for your specific reptile or amphibian species (typically 2 to 3 inches for burrowing animals).
- Mist regularly with water to maintain the desired tropical humidity levels.
- Spot clean the bedding daily to remove waste and replace the entire substrate every few months or as required to ensure freshness.
