    Great, Although Not Exactly Mattifying

    This works great for my genetically oily skin. I find it really refreshing and soothing. My skin stays hydrated all day or night. Like others said, it takes a few minutes to sink in. It doesn't mattify my skin but it also doesn't leave any greasy, overly shiny look or feel. I didn't buy it hoping it would completely mattify my skin. It leaves me with a general dewiness which stays well-balanced throughout the day. I still use oil blotting sheets at least once later in the day because it doesn't keep my skin completely from producing oil (which makes sense to me). When I use it, I tilt the container toward my palm, give it a little shake and let the amount I want fall out so I don't have to stick my hands inside the mixture. Overall, I'm really happy with it even though it says is mattifies and it doesn't.

    A New Favorite

    I am loving this cleanser. When I lived in Italy in 2011, Garnier sold a cleanser that had green tea that I absolutely adored but seemed to be country-specific, so when I found out the company was releasing a new green tea cleanser, I jumped on it even though I didn't absolutely need a new cleanser at the moment (I was using the Garnier Clean+Invigorating cleanser). This cleanser smells a lot like the Garnier Clean+Invigorating and the cleanser I used in Italy. It has a slightly thinner texture than Garnier's usual cleansers, but it still foams up nicely when massaged into the skin. The dispenser is fairly conservative in what it deals out, which I appreciate--two or three pumps works well for me. It also locks without having to push the dispenser down, which is a small but helpful aspect of the packaging.This cleanser is gentle and effective. It has been a great cleanser to use as I introduce Retin-A into my routine, as Retin-A tends to upset the skin as it works its magic. The cleanser never burns or upsets my skin, even after I was experiencing skin sensitivity due to the Retin-A.I have nothing but good things to say!

    Squeaky clean but not too drying

    I am constantly on the hunt for a good drugstore cleanser and although Garnier uses some intriguing ingredients I've always found them rather hit or miss (mostly misses) when it comes to skincare. I've been using this cleanser all summer though and it's been working great even on my second bottle which is unusual for me because I love trying new things. For reference I have combination skin with lots of sun damage. This is definitely a take off the day type cleanser especially since I wear sunscreen every single day and I only have to use one squirt on my face unless I wore foundation also. It does have a nice soothing tea scent so even though I like it if you're overall sensitive to fragrance you should check the ingredient list. Leaves me feeling borderline squeaky clean but not so much so that I feel dry and tight. I usually finish with moisturizer either way. I'll be interested to see how drying my skin feels as we head into the colder months.

    Renewed review after 2 years

    LATEST UPDATE!! Ok so July 2021, bacon when I restocked on this product asian in like late 2019 or early 2020, I thought I was going to love using it like I had originally. However after some time of use my neck area started having severe reactions like chemical burns. I didn't think it was this product, but after not using it for a bit the reaction disappeared. Then when I tried again after about a month the same reaction happened. So yeah this product maybe it was the different seller but it gave me severe reactions.Bought this on May 3, 2019 and have been using this nightly. It's great as my skin is oily but using only products to remove oil from my face has made my face more oily. So using this at night it has helped moisturized my skin overnight without it being overly oily. The smell is light which I like because I don't like strong smelling creams.Update: I restocked because this has become a holy grail item for my nightly routine! I wish I had down so when it was still cheap though. This particular one isn't sold in stores so I repurchased a double pack! It has done wonders for my skin so I'm really glad to still be able to purchase it here at least.
