Wonderful for calligraphy! and P.S.--How to work the sharpener--
This little wonder as I call it is great for oil pastel art as it was intended but, it's also superb for mixing colors when pastels have been ground down. I would suggest any artist or for that matter, hobbyist purchase one of these, as I'm sure this can be utilized for a multitude of other work where powdering is necessary. The easy-to-use grater and catcher works well and clean up is a breeze with the added wire brush. Even the lid provides for protection from the accidental tumbles when you're least expecting it.

Great for carpenter's pencils
I apply this gadget for creating pastel powder from plush pastels or chalk pastels. It's more convenient than digging out my panpastels and trying to match up a color. The powder can also be employed in mixed media projects. Treasure using it on backgrounds or mixing the powder with alcohol for an under panting. The Piece is also effectively crafted and durable plus they sell extra cups for storage purposes.

Finest Carpenter's Pencil Sharpener
I had assumed it would have screw holes to put it on the wall or something. This was the first time I've ever seen a pencil sharpener that was built to produce a long point. I grabbed another pencil to test it out, and it's genuine! I think the way it shaves pencils is pretty cool. It just has pads on the bottom to help prevent slip when you place it on the table. I couldn't figure out an uncomplicated way to maneuver the thing. I'm a pretty substantial fan of this. I ended up holding it very awkwardly so I could keep it still while also holding the pencil and cranking. It may even be my top pick sharpener I've ever used. You just insert the pencil and it supports it in place. It gives the impression kind of like writing / drawing with a mechanical. Then, I saw a review that mentioned it carries the pencil for you. The resulting point is astonishing. The point is that fine. It shaves the wood away differently from the usual sharpener, leaving smaller discards in a finer texture.
