Nice for what it is.
I use this camping or traveling cross country when I sleep in the back of my truck. Not super powerful but adequate. NOAA feature is nice. Good thing to have during power outages. Runs a long time on a couple AAs

Gooses weather radio
The biggest plus for this budget NOAA radio is that all you have to do is extend the antenna and you get good clear reception on NOAA weather band, just like the product review video. I've had other budget weather radios that struggled with signal drift or subpar reception. The FM,AM, and speaker quality are all what you'd expect for a radio this price. Buy it for the inexpensive NOAA reception. It's a necessity for many. The DSP allows for smooth tuning and steady reception on all bands with ease.
FAQs
What is the best battery operated radio for emergencies?
A reliable emergency radio should feature a dedicated digital signal processing chip for strong reception, robust external antennas, and run on standard physical batteries like AA cells. Devices like the Goodes transistor radio are highly recommended because they remain functional during long term power outages when electricity is unavailable for recharging.
Can this pocket radio pick up local radio stations clearly?
Yes, this portable radio is equipped with a six section 15.7 inch telescopic antenna and a built in magnetic receiver. This design allows it to pull in local AM and FM frequencies with high clarity regardless of your geographic region.
How long do the batteries last in this portable transistor radio?
Battery longevity depends entirely on the volume level and the quality of the AA batteries used. Because it lacks high drain features like digital screens or heavy backlights, it consumes minimal energy, providing extended playback hours during critical situations.
