Designed for precision tactical planning, hiking, and outdoor expedition tracking, this comprehensive toolset supports standard metric coordinate systems including UTM, MGRS, and USNG.
The kit features durable coordinate scales compatible with 1:25,000, 1:50,000, 1:100,000, and 1:250,000 map ratios, ensuring accurate grid plotting and distance measuring. Built with dual angular scales, the compass rose and protractors measure angles in both degrees and mils for advanced navigational flexibility.
Paired with a field compass and pace counter beads, this lightweight ABS plastic set provides outdoor enthusiasts, military trainees, and surveyors with reliable instruments for accurate field orientation and distance tracking.
How to use
- Align the coordinate scale tool over your topographical map grid intersection to plot accurate 6-digit or 8-digit MGRS/UTM coordinates.
- Use the internal triangular cutouts and rulers corresponding to your map scale (e.g., 1:50,000) to measure distances, and utilize the pace counter beads to track hundreds of meters marched during field navigation.

FAQs
Are you prepping for a hiking/trekking trip or a military training exercise?
This versatile land navigation toolkit is ideal for both backcountry trekking and professional military training exercises where precise map reading and coordinate plotting are critical.
Do you need help learning how to read an 8-digit MGRS coordinate or use pace count beads?
Reading an 8-digit MGRS coordinate involves finding the 100-meter grid square and estimating down to the nearest 10 meters using the scale tool. Pace count beads are slid down the cord after every 100 meters walked to track total distance traveled accurately.
What map scales are supported by this coordinate reader?
This navigation tool supports multiple metric map scales including 1:25,000, 1:50,000, 1:100,000, and 1:250,000 for comprehensive topographic analysis.
Is this Gotical map reading tool an authentic USA import available in India?
Yes, this product is an authentic USA-imported item. Dropy sources all inventory directly from the USA to ensure genuine quality for customers in India.
