FAQs
What guitar or bass model are you upgrading?
This versatile 1/8 inch blank nut slab can be custom-shaped to fit a wide variety of electric guitar and bass models, including classic electrics and precision basses. Because it is unslotted, it can be filed to match almost any custom string spacing or neck width you require.
Do you need advice on file sizes or tools for cutting the slots?
Yes, cutting precise string slots requires dedicated nut files that match your specific string gauge sizes. Using the correct file width ensures the strings sit snugly without pinching, maintaining optimal intonation and tuning stability.
How does Black TUSQ XL improve guitar performance?
Black TUSQ XL is permanently impregnated with PTFE, which acts as a built-in lubricant to reduce friction at the nut. This prevents strings from catching during bends and helps the instrument return to pitch consistently.
