FAQs
What is a TUSQ nut?
A TUSQ nut is a high-performance replacement component made from an engineered man-made material designed to replicate and improve upon natural bone or ivory. It provides consistent density without soft spots, resulting in enhanced harmonic transfer and improved tuning stability for your guitar.
What is the difference between a TUSQ nut and a TUSQ XL nut?
Standard TUSQ nuts focus primarily on maximizing harmonic resonance and tone transfer using high-density synthetic material. TUSQ XL nuts include the addition of PTFE, which is permanently impregnated into the material to provide lifelong string lubrication and further reduce string breakage at the nut slots.
Is this nut compatible with right-handed classical guitars?
No, model PQ-6260-L0 is specifically engineered with reverse slotting tailored for left-handed classical guitars. For right-handed instruments, you will need the standard model variant.
Are these guitar parts authentic USA imports available in India?
Yes, this is an authentic USA-imported Graph Tech product. Dropy sources all items directly from the United States to ensure genuine quality for musicians in India.
Does the nut require filing or sanding during installation?
Graph Tech intentionally manufactures their nuts slightly long and wide to accommodate varying instrument tolerances. You can easily remove this minimal extra material using a fine grain of sandpaper for a custom, flush fit.
