If you're a diabetic or have a close loved one who is, you're probably very familiar with the extra care diabetics need to take with their feet. Keeping their feet moisturized to avoid dry, cracked skin is key but a lot of all purpose lotions aren't specifically designed for the needs of diabetic skin. You want to avoid fragrance and parabens as they can be irritating to skin or cause itching and scratching which could lead to damaged skin. You also want a formula that will soak in well and not leave a greasy film, as this can help bacteria to build up, especially between toes where the lotion could stay moist for too long. There are some good regular lotions on the market but you have to be diligent with reading the labels and what ingredients are used. It's a lot easier to opt for a specific diabetic formula but often times those specialized lotions are pretty expensive too. This HealthWise medicated foot cream addresses all the concerns with a lotion that's safely designed for diabetic foot care. The active ingredient is Dimethicone which is widely used in personal care products and considered safe for use with low potential for allergic reactions. It works by making creams silky smooth for easy application while also allowing the product to cling well to your skin. It creates a barrier that helps you skin retain moisture and not become dried out. The formula is also free of dye, parabens and phthalates as well as fragrances. I ordered this lotion for my diabetic husband. I'm usually the one who orders his foot cream and I feel like I'm always trying out new brands because I haven't found anything I'm really satisfied with. Sometimes they say they're fragrance free but you can definitely smell something or they're greasy and sometimes they don't seem to hydrate the skin at all, despite a steep price tag. My husband's big issue is the texture, it can't be slippery or greasy, he really wants a cream that just soaks in and disappears or he won't use it. This HealthWise lotion hit the mark for both of us. My husband likes the feel of it, it's tacky for just a few minutes but then soaks in well. He's been using it for a week now and has noticed his feet feel smoother. I used it on my hand when testing it out and my skin was noticably softer afterwards, you can see that in the pictures I added too. I also like the ingredients and the price point. This is a 4oz tube for $7 and I found it a good quality with a really fair value, especially when looking at other similar products. I would recommend this cream to others as an affordable and safe option for diabetic skin care.

  Amazing softness and not just for diabetic foot care

  The HealthWise Medicated Diabetic Foot Cream | Dimethicone + Petrolatum | Protects and Seals | Relieves Dry Heals | Paraben-Free | Odor-Free | 4.0 oz. - is an amazing moisturizer not just for as a diabetic foot cream. I've tried different creams for hands and feet and this is one of the best moisturizers I've ever tried and I'll tell you why. At first when I saw the main ingredient as petrolatum, I thought it was going to have a feel like Vaseline, very thick, greasy and doesn't really absorb. However, that is not the case because there's also has dimethicone and a lot of inactive ingredients in this product; Vitamin E and Aloe. It also has no fragrance which I love. I am attaching a photo of the ingredients, inactive ingredients and its other uses. The combination of ingredients dispenses like a cream and you only need a small amount. It leaves your skin very soft and also creates a moisture barrier. It will initially have a little bit of a greasy feel, however that dissipates within about 5-10 minutes after rubbing it in. The most important aspect of this product is the effects are immediate softness - You won't have to wait 24 hours to find out if this product is working. It has many other uses besides diabetic foot care and because there are other uses, the title of the product is limiting who might purchase it if they're not diabetic. It is one of the the best moisturizing creams I have tried - it goes on light, absorbs quickly and you have instant softness. The price of $3.99 is amazing for the quality and the quantity. I already purchased a second tube because the price almost seems too good to be true!

  helps the foot, especially with socks

  This is a great foot cream that has a thick consistency to really help with dryness in the feet. This uses quality, proven ingredients to give it that rich formulation. To get more out of this, wearing a pair of socks helps lock the moisture in better. They actually sell socks that are made for this purpose. With the socks, these have been a wonder for my feet.
