I advocate these bags
I have tried many trash bags for the large garbage cans I have in the garage and my recycling in the past. It is worth the extra money to buy these extra strong - and 39 gallon - bags. I have never had anything I placed in these bags rip through the bag.

My trash bag of decision...
Happy to find these here...this is what we always use but during the pandemic, hard to find in the grocery store, and I'm not running to hunt. From now on this is where I will get them. Thanks. Great quality and the 39 gallon fits our cans nicely. Heavy enough for yard waste also.
