Everything I hoped, suprised!! (learn to apply it, takes about 2 sessions)
I got used to using a wick a few years back from some friends in Cali- I've had a nifty little dispenser for use, but I saw this and realized it's potential. I have about 3 different general spots for sessions indoors and this would firmly allow both a lighter AND some wick, in a constant, usable spot. The unit is decent-tough, it'll definitely survive being dropped, etc hehe. I haven't had it long enough yet to tell how durable the metal dispenser part will be as it gets hit, but it seems good so far.The bottom has a nice ridge built into it for storing a decent amount of wick inside (wrapped around it) without being exposed. The two tabs on the bottom front end allow for pulling a good stretch (4-8 feet, something) from that ridge, and around those as it comes up (the wick is good thick to just unwrap between those 2 tabs as you pull it for that session, when you learn). The metal dispenser is GREAT- I use it far more than I thought I would, at first. It IS a good spot for routing the last, lit tip end though- you learn to pull out a couple feet, just light the tip, then pull back the foot or two you're using for that session. But, even more - it is SO good at PUTTING THE WICK OUT. If you have one that's burning too high, or just too long... pull the tip back down into the metal part, from below. It goes right out. No need to get your hands dirty, and it works EVERY time. The Bics are a good fit- it snaps it at the very base, as you put it in.VERY happy- thanks!!
