I've been using green tea tinctures off and on for a while, and I decided to try this brand when I saw it offered on Dropy Vine as a promotional item.From all outward appearances, this looks like a quality product from a quality brand. The packaging is nice, the ingredients are minimal, clean, and without weird dyes or fillers, and the Herbamama product info -- both here and on the website -- take the time to emphasize quality and purity. These are all good things that I appreciate.Where I'm a little perplexed though is the lack of transparency when it comes to quality testing. Although the website does say that their ingredients and batches are tested by an independent third party for purity and presence of heavy metals, it does not give any specific information on who the third party is/are, nor any obvious way to obtain testing results for a batch that you have purchased.I'm willing to give the company a chance to address these questions. If I hear back, I will update my review as needed. I will not try it until I have assurances that I can get the testing results; too many supplements are tainted with unsafe levels of things you'd really rather not ingest (looking at you, lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenic).Back to the product itself. It has a refreshing, grassy smell. It does not smell unpleasant at all. You can often tell by the smell when a tincture is stale or rancid, and that is not an issue here at all. Not that one uses green tea extract for the smell or taste primarily, but I do appreciate a fresh product.4/5 stars. For 4 oz, I found the price of $30 to be very reasonable for what seems like a high quality product. The only question in my mind is the purity / independent 3rd party testing.
