FAQs
Is it a good idea to cover a dog crate?
Yes, covering a crate can be highly beneficial as it mimics a natural den, providing your dog with a sense of security, privacy, and safety. It helps minimize external visual stimuli, which reduces barking, eases anxiety, and encourages a deeper, more peaceful sleep.
Is a 36 inch crate big enough for a lab?
A thirty six inch crate is typically recommended for medium-sized dog breeds. While it may fit some smaller or younger Labrador Retrievers, fully grown adult Labs generally require a larger forty two inch or forty eight inch crate to comfortably stand up, turn around, and lie down.
Do vets recommend dog crates?
Yes, veterinarians and professional dog trainers widely recommend crate training as an effective method for housebreaking, preventing destructive behavior, and providing a safe personal space. Using a high-quality cover further enhances the comforting, therapeutic benefits of the crate.
