FAQs
What is the best collar for a cat after surgery?
A soft, breathable neck brace or fabric Elizabethan collar is often the best choice for a cat after surgery. It prevents them from reaching wounds while offering superior comfort and less restriction compared to rigid plastic cones.
What size cat cone should I use?
You should measure your pet's neck circumference carefully before purchasing. This extra-small collar is designed specifically for kittens, puppies, and small dogs with a neck circumference between 6.3 and 8.6 inches.
How long does a dog have to wear an Elizabethan collar after surgery?
Pets typically need to wear a recovery collar for ten to fourteen days post-surgery. Always consult your veterinarian to confirm when it is safe to permanently remove the cervical support.
