Description
HOPE'S 100% Pure Tung Oil is the gold standard for achieving a professional, hand-rubbed finish on fine wood. Unlike synthetic varnishes that sit on the surface, this exotic oil penetrates deep into wood fibers, curing to become a permanent part of the wood itself.
It is specifically formulated for those who value both aesthetics and durability, offering a low-gloss matte appearance that enhances the natural grain and character of your furniture, antiques, and woodworking projects. This solvent-free formula is completely food-safe once cured, making it an excellent choice for kitchen essentials like butcher blocks, cutting boards, and wooden utensils.

FAQs
Is 100% tung oil food safe?
Yes, HOPE'S 100% Pure Tung Oil is considered food-safe and non-toxic once it has fully cured. This makes it a popular choice for treating wooden kitchen items like cutting boards, salad bowls, and countertops.
How do you use Hope's Tung Oil?
Apply the oil by wiping it onto clean, bare wood and allowing it to penetrate the fibers. Wipe off any excess after 20 minutes and repeat the process for additional coats until the desired finish is achieved.
What are the benefits of Tung Oil over Linseed Oil?
Tung Oil provides better water resistance and does not yellow as significantly over time compared to Linseed Oil. It also cures to a harder, more durable finish that is highly resistant to acids and alcohol.
Is this product an authentic USA import available in India?
Yes, all HOPE'S products on Dropy India are authentic and sourced directly from the USA. We ensure that Indian customers receive genuine, high-quality imported wood care solutions.
Does Tung Oil provide a high-gloss finish?
