FAQs
How do you use Howard dark wax on chalk paint?
Apply the dark wax over a dry coat of chalk-style paint using a cloth or brush. Buff it into the surface to create a distressed look, allowing the dark pigments to settle into the wood grain and recessed areas for an aged patina.
Does this wax protect the paint from fading?
Yes, this formula contains UV inhibitors and a blend of natural waxes that create a durable protective barrier. This helps prolong the life of your paint job and shields it from environmental wear.
Can I use this on surfaces other than wood?
Absolutely. While it is primarily used for wood furniture, it is also effective on glass, metal, ceramic, and laminate surfaces that have been treated with chalk-style paint.
Is this Howard Chalk-Tique wax an authentic imported product available in India?
Yes, all Howard Products sold on Dropy India are authentic imports sourced directly from the USA. We ensure that Indian DIY enthusiasts receive genuine, high-quality furniture care products.
What is the difference between light and dark paste wax?
Light wax is generally used to seal and protect the paint without changing the color. Dark wax is used to add a distressed, antiqued look by slightly darkening the paint and adding contrast to the details.
