Hydrating, non tacky, helps me with oil control
I got this because my T-zone gets oily constantly but the rest of my face still feels tight and dry sometimes. It's so annoying, and most toners don't help at all. They just kind of leave me shiny and gross by noon. I wanted something that would help control the oil. This toner looked good for me because it has ingredients I like, like niacinamide and panthenol. I sometimes get headaches if I wear strong smells, so the fragrance free part was a plus too. Black rice I had never heard of as a beauty product, but fermented stuff is supposed to be good for you. When I first used it, I didn't really know what to expect. I've found that it's a product that works well for me. It's super lightweight and hydrating. I don't get as much of that weird tacky feeling I do with some toners. You shake it before using (very satisfying!) and it blends into a silky smooth liquid. I am hoping to see reduction in shininess and skin texture. I feel that my skin does look smoother and calmer. Also, it layers well. I do a full face and there is no pilling or weird separation. I've been using it every morning and sometimes at night too when I want something lighter than my other toners.

Perfection in every way
Simply incredible. I have dry, sensitive skin and deal with rosacea, many toners don't work for my skin because they leave it itchy and red. This toner is so amazing and just what my skin needs. This toner is very lightweight, it has a milky texture and is very easy to spread, my skin absorbs it fast and is left hydrated, smooth, and healthy looking. It comes down the redness and works really well with my products that I layer on top. I apply it with my fingers because using cotton balls I loose a lot of product and it further irritates my sensitive skin. I have been using Korean skincare products for 15 years and this one is easily one of my favorite toners thus far! The price is also very fair, this bottle will last me at least three months, a little goes a long way, so it's a very good deal for my pocket and my skin!

I like it a lot!
The full ingredients are listed at the end of the product description but I'm also uploading a crop from the box, in case anyone needs. I have not experienced the "iconic rice toner" this is a lightweight version of, so I cannot really compare on that level. However, I did find this toner as a layer to be just a bit too heavy for my oily face, even using it sparingly. My relatively hot and humid climate is somewhat to blame, I think. But what does work well for me is to use it as a pre-hydrator, in the early evening hours before my PM routine. Basically this means after dinner, I'll cleanse thoroughly and apply this toner by itself, and just enjoy the rest of my evening. In terms of the ingredients, this is the first "bi-phase" product I've used to any great extent. I rather like the sensation now that I've found what works for me with it. The pricing reflects as an upper mid-tier product, which I think is partly justified by the formulation: the bi-phase nature, the presence of niacinamide, and crosspolymer hyaluronic acid, and the long extract list. There is also some justification via who the maker is, a known quality producer.

I love this toner so much first I tried the creamy toner. Then I decided to try this one for the summer. It's the perfect lightweight consistency for hot weather or combination to oily skin.
