  Soothing and super gentle and moisturizing, no scent

  I think the I'm From Seaweed Soothing Booster Serum is my favorite face serum to date. It is clear and a little thinner than other serums I've tried and has no noticeable scent. It only takes one or two pumps to give me enough for my face and neck. It instantly feels soothing on my dry and super sensitive perimenopausal skin. It absorbs quickly and plays well with even my heaviest moisturizer. It leaves my face and neck happy, soft and moisturized. It doesn't feel sticky or even dewy as some other serums tend to do. It also doesn't have any noticeable shine.The simple packaging is nice. It is a plastic bottle that is simple and just the right size, plus I love the pump dispenser. I hate the glass bottles and droppers that other serums isually have because I am always sure I am going to knock them over and spill and/or break them while I am massaging the serum in, before I can get the lid screwed back on amd put it away. I also love that though it is a Korean product, it has English instructions and ingredients printed directly on the bottle instead of a added label or even leaving English off all together.The quality is excellent. There are a lot of beneficial ingredients and many of them are at the beginning of the ingredient list. There aren't any ingredients that I avoid.The price is reasonable for the quality, so it's a good value. I'm From Seaweed Soothing Booster Serum gets 5 stars from me without hesitation.

  A cruelty-free alternative to snail mucin

  I love snail mucin as a skincare ingredient, but I also prefer cruelty-free products when possible, so I was excited to see a plant-based "snail mucin" serum/ampoule. I wasn't sure what to expect from it in comparison, but I was excited to try! My skin needs hydration since it runs dry (it's also sensitive and reactive to more intensive skincare as well as fragrances and exfoliants) and I prefer lightweight products on my face.This is a clear, thin, runny gel that's nearly a liquid. It comes in a clear pump bottle (I wish it were opaque to protect it from the sun). It goes on smoothly, with a feel similar to snail mucin (it glides, but has a little bit of a sticky feeling as it goes on). As it dries, it leaves a temporary tacky feeling (as many skincare products do) and then sinks in like it was never there (except that my skin felt softer, less tight and more bouncy).This was a great base for moisturizer. Once it absorbed, my other skincare products glided on effortlessly, without any pilling or tugging. I rarely wear makeup, so I can't speak to whether it would play as nicely with foundation or other facial makeup.I didn't experience any irritation at all on my sensitive skin. In fact, it was one of the most gentle products I've tried and I've tried a lot that should be good for skin like mine, but fell short and still caused reactions.I've been using this for a few days, morning and night, and I have to say I'm impressed. It leaves me just as soft and smooth as snail mucin does, without the use of animals in the process. It performs better than I expected and I think it's a good value, especially compared to more expensive serums that don't provide significantly better results.

  Puts my $200 serum to shame

  I recently moved to the desert so I've been spending a lot on hydration serums. I'm in my late 30s, tend to run oily but not acne-prone, with some fine lines coming in, and I recently grabbed a hyaluronic acid serum from a luxury brand at over $200, and this one honestly performs exactly the same. That's on k-beauty!The texture is a lightweight gel that's nearly liquid. It goes on smooth and absorbs quickly without leaving any tackiness. I stack 2 to 3 serums before moisturizer and this layered under everything without pilling.It didn't irritate my skin, and actually helped underneath my actives. My skin felt more plump and hydrated within a few days of starting it. There's a faint scent that disappears almost immediately, but it's nothing that most would even notice.The seaweed base gives it that slick, mucin-like feel without using animal ingredients. It behaves exactly the way a good snail mucin serum does, just plant-based, which I love!As I said, I paid over $200 for a luxury HA serum that I now keep as a backup. This one is a fraction of that price and I cannot tell the difference in results. I may even like this more because it's a bit thicker. For an ampoule at this quality level, the price alone is hard to argue with.Overall, this is one of the better hydrating serums I've used at any price. I'd recommend it for anyone who wants quality hydration without committing to luxury pricing.
