FAQs
Is coarse sand good for succulents?
Yes, coarse sand is excellent for succulents and cacti. It improves drainage in the soil mix, which prevents the roots from sitting in excess moisture, a critical step in avoiding root rot for desert plants.
What is coarse horticultural sand?
Coarse horticultural sand is a washed, granular material used as a soil amendment to increase soil porosity. It differs from fine beach or play sand because its larger particle size allows for better water movement and air circulation around plant roots.
Are you planning to mix this sand into soil or use it primarily as a surface top dressing?
This product is versatile and can be used for both purposes. You can incorporate it into your potting mix to boost drainage or apply it as a decorative top layer to secure the plant and enhance the visual appeal of the container.
Are these products authentic imports from the USA?
Yes, all products offered by Dropy India are authentic and sourced directly from the USA. We ensure that our inventory meets high quality standards for our customers in India.
What kind of coarse sand to mix with potting soil?
You should use a washed, coarse-textured sand that is free from salt and fine debris. This ensures that the sand does not pack down into a solid mass and instead provides the structural support and drainage necessary for healthy plant roots.
