Description
The J-Tech Digital HDMI Audio Extractor is an essential hardware solution designed for home theater enthusiasts, gamers, and audiophiles who need to bridge the gap between modern high-definition video sources and legacy audio equipment. This high-performance device seamlessly de-embeds audio from an incoming HDMI signal and routes it to external sound systems via Digital Optical or analog RCA outputs, all while passing pristine video to your display.
It is perfect for connecting streaming devices, laptops, Blu-ray players, and modern gaming consoles to older audio receivers, soundbars, or headphones that lack HDMI inputs. Built with robust EDID management, it features a switchable three-mode toggle to eliminate compatibility issues between source units and displays.
It also integrates an Audio Return Channel function, enabling direct audio extraction from standard smart displays. This authentic USA-imported adapter ensures you do not have to upgrade your entire audio setup just to enjoy ultra high-definition media systems.
How to use
- Connect your source device to the HDMI input port using a high-speed HDMI cable.
- Connect your display or television to the HDMI output port.
- Choose your preferred audio output by connecting either an optical cable to your soundbar or an RCA cable to your analog amplifier.
- Set the EDID toggle switch to TV, 2-Channel, or 5-Channel depending on your audio equipment capabilities.
- If utilizing the Audio Return Channel feature, connect the extractor to the designated port on your display and ensure the incoming audio format is compatible with your target sound system.

FAQs
Can this device pass 4K video while extracting audio?
Yes, this extractor supports video pass-through up to 4K resolution at 60Hz, allowing you to maintain high-definition picture quality on your display while routing the audio separately.
Does this model support eARC functionality?
No, this specific model supports standard Audio Return Channel functions but does not support the newer Enhanced Audio Return Channel protocols.
Can I output audio from both RCA and Optical ports at the same time?
Simultaneous output is supported only when the incoming audio format from your source device is set to 2-Channel stereo. It does not downmix 5.1-Channel audio to the analog output.
Is this product an authentic imported version available in India?
Yes, this is an authentic J-Tech Digital product imported directly from the USA. Dropy India sources genuine international personal care and electronic companion products to guarantee authenticity.
What should I do if I get no sound from the RCA ports?
Ensure that your source media player or console is configured to output PCM or 2-Channel stereo audio, as the analog RCA outputs cannot decode multi-channel surround sound formats.
