Product details
Description
The Jagwire Sport SS Gear Cable 2300mm delivers smooth and dependable gear changing performance for road, mountain, and hybrid bicycles. Made from die-extruded, spiral-bound stainless steel, this slick inner shift wire undergoes a specialized pre-stretching process that removes rough outer edges. The resulting ultra-smooth surface reduces internal friction within your cable housing, providing crisp and effortless index shifting across all gears.
Designed for maximum longevity, the high-grade stainless steel construction offers excellent resistance against rust, corrosion, grit, and harsh weather conditions. At a length of 2300mm, it fits almost any front or rear derailleur setup, including extra-large frame sizes and long cable routing. It is equipped with a universal head compatible with both Shimano and SRAM shifting systems, making it an ideal upgrade or replacement component for cyclists seeking reliable drivetrain response.
How to use
- Thread the cable through your compatible Shimano or SRAM shifter mechanism and internal or external cable housing.
- Pull the cable taut at the derailleur, secure it using the pinch bolt to proper tension, trim the excess wire length leaving roughly 3-4 cm, and crimp an end cap onto the cable end to prevent fraying.
