    When a person is thinking about transitioning to a vegan diet (or has already adapted that lifestyle) it is important that they understand that they are able to get all of the nutrients, vitamins and minerals that they need to live from products other than meat, with the one exception of vitamin b12. That is just not readily available for humans through a vegan diet, unless there is supplementation, which is really important because b12 has a really important role in brain functioning, among other things. If you want more information on this topic, a quick google search will show you some very informative websites.I started taking this chewable vitamin a few months ago and I love it. I get the tropical 2500 mcg flavor, and it definitely tastes fruity and tropical, but not overwhelming, and nothing like a vitamin. In fact, my young nephew loves these so much, he tries to talk me into giving him two every time he is at my house. If the flavor isn't for you, there are a few other options; although they vary in the amount of b12 they contain. When I first started a vegan diet I knew nothing of b12, and in the years since I found out more about different b vitamins and how they work in the human body, I have found my life improved by taking these daily.
