  A little boost of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory

  I heard a lot good words about the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of Silymarin, so I decided to try the Milk thistle from Jarrow Formulas since I always had a good experience with the quality of supplements from this brand. I'm a healthy active female in her early 30s, and seeing visible results with supplements is difficult for me. I can't say this supplement did wonders for me or improved my life significantly, but a little boost of antioxidants from a herb can only help long-time. I do both running and strength training, and I think the using Milk thistle along with a joint supplement helps me get less anti-inflammatory reactions and less oxydative stress. I can't tell how much it helped my immunity, I get flu shots every year and rarely get the cold/flu; I have some allergies and I didn't see any improvements in symptoms while taking this. I sometimes have breakouts, maybe I had less while taking Milk thistle, but I wouldn't necessarily link these together. I also eat very healthy and don't drink alcohol; my liver is quite healthy overall, but I somewhat noticed I tolerate slightly better liver-heavy foods while taking this supplement. The pills are regular sized, easy to take and did not cause me reflux or stomach issues even when taken without food in the morning. I didn't noticed any odd taste or smell.

  This is for the drinkers out there!

  I am a weekend warrior drinker, meaning I usually get together with my buddies on Friday after work, Saturday during the day and night and maybe Sunday afternoon grilling. By the time the weekend is over I usually would have about 30 drinks in me(don't judge!). All this was fine until I hit my low to mid thirties. My hangover was getting worse, I was having a lot more trouble focusing at work after my weekends. So I decided to start the Milk Thistle regimen. I started taking 3 pills in the morning and 3 in the evening during the weekends and 2 a day during the week days. Surprisingly my hangovers were getting less severe. This stuff actually works. Pros: - Less of a hangover - Hopefully better for your liver - I haven't experienced any side effects Cons: - Your buzz tend to be shorter now Like for an supplements, I like to take them with some food. I am attaching a picture to show you the size also. Some people have a hard time swallowing bigger pills. *** Don't use this as a license to drink all you want. At some point the party will have to stop***
