    The jar I received it says that the lecithin comes from Sunflower, not from Soybeans

    Versitile, quality natural protein powder!

    I really like this powder!First, because it is unflavored, it is extremely flexible. Yes it can make a good smoothie. It can also be baked into cookies, mixed with cheese sauce into mac&cheese, added to casseroles, etc. it is a REALLY great way to add a bit of extra protien to lots of things. And with a growing vegetarian son who never seems to get enough protein, this MATTERS. The thing is this powder isn't sweet, so it can go into savory foods too. After all, you can always add a little honey/splenda/sugar/cocoa powder etc to natural powder. You sure can't take it OUT of a flavored one!One important thing to know - just like any protein powder, you can't put it in hot water (over 140 degrees) it will curdle and turn nasty. So how do you protein-up your no-chicken Wild Rice Soup? Easy! Make your soup (and be sure it is a CREAM soup, not a broth soup.) Let it cool a bit. Mix protein powder into milk. Add it in!So you want to put it in cookies or pumpkin bread? Great! Mix the powder with the flour and don't go too overboard. The more you ad the "tougher" your end product will be. Add extra levening to ensure the product rises enough with the extra weight of the powder; this will offset the toughness. Bake as usual.

    Regular "older" schmo using for weight loss and post workout. ***Revised***

    ***Revision: Still happy with this product just added some experience items now that I've been using it a while.You probably looked at other powders nutritional content, sugar, carbs, etc. as I did. This has what I want an none of that stuff I don't. I have been mixing this powder with non fat milk and it tastes just fine to me. Kind of like a extremely lite malted or milkshake taste I'd venture.In early 2016, at age 54 and 5'8" I was at 216lbs and decided to improve my diet and exercise regime. I had been looking for ways to cut down on "bad" carbs and calories has been difficult for me. Anyhow, I start by pounding a fiber drink such as Metamucil/alternative (taste is ok but don't want it to gel) and then mix a Jarrow Whey drink for a relaxing "snack" drink. I haven't felt the need to mix any flavorings but may do so later for variety. This regimen seems to keep me satisfied for quite a while and also works great before a meal out so I'm not so motivated to order a side or clear my plate. Take home a doggy bag!***Great for a post workout. Protein is a must after my long runs or hikes. Helps with muscle growth, repair, and as an "older" individual, a reduction in natural muscle loss. Based on the studies that I've read, both exercise and sufficient protein intake are really important. A reduction in skeletal muscle lead to reduced metabolism and likely weight gain. I'm not bodybuilding but would like to retain musculature as I age to be fit and active. Quality over quantity perhaps but maybe both :-)I am getting more of this for sure. Oh yeah, I am not a doctor, nutritionist, bodybuilder, or even fully cognizant most of the time so regardless of my opinion...... do your homework and be healthy.
