Easy to open, stronger than expected, and great for kitchen waste
These 8 gallon Compost Bags are the perfect size for my kitchen. I prefer a smaller bag so food scraps don't sit for days. These bags are easy to open, stronger than expected, and they are leak-proof. I clean my fridge, freezer, and my deep freezer out recently and these bags were perfect for the job. I bought a bag an apples not realizing that many of them were damaged. I tossed expired sauces and condiments. I also had frozen meats that needed to be tossed. When I was done I had two heavy bags of garbage. The bags held up well and nothing leaked. I was able to secure them by tying them in knots and get them to the outdoor trash receptacle with no leaks or tears. These compostable bags performed well and I would recommend them.

Inexpensive Quality Biodegradable Trash Bag
Love this biodegradable trash bag. It is well-made, odorless, and strong. I poured water (please see the photos I posted), but no water leaking from the bottom so I can say that this is leakproof. However, this water-holding capability may not last since these are biodegradable. The only thing missing is built-in drawstrings. But for the size and intended usage, there is no need for a drawstring. With a silky smooth texture, changing trash bags is a breeze. If you want to help protect mother nature, be green, and want inexpensive but quality small trash bag that can handle up to 2.6 gallons of trash then look no further.

one of the better compostable trash bags I've tried for this size.
I've tried my fair share of compostable trash bags from various brands, and this one is one of the better ones in terms of quality. It might not be the most cost-effective choice, but I think the material strength is a bit better than most others I've tried. It doesn't get stretched too easily nor torn (although it does compared to normal vinyl bags obviously, some compostable trash bags are just too easily ripped). You can set up this box so that it can easily pull out just one bag at a time as well. Again, the price is in the middle, not the cheapest but not the most expensive one I've tried either. Considering that, its cost performance in terms of overall quality versus price is outstanding

Jencenbio Compost 4.5 Gallon handle Trash Bags 45 ct
These 4.5 gallon biodegradable bags are starch based and the perfect size to use as a liner for a small kitchen, bathroom or office wastebasket. There are 45 bags in the set and they have built-in handles so when full it is easy to tie them closed. Perforated the bags are on 3 rolls of 15 bags each and are easy to separate. Unscented the bags are reasonably strong with a thickness of .78 mils. The information on the carton states they begin to breakdown after 90 day--so a more environmentally friendly choice.
