FAQs
Can I feed my kitten with a baby bottle?
No, human baby bottles are too large and have a fast flow rate that can cause a newborn kitten to choke or aspirate. It is highly recommended to use specialized mini pet nursing bottles with small silicone nipples designed specifically for neonatal small animals.
What to give to a 3 week old kitten?
A three-week-old kitten should be fed high-quality kitten milk replacer (KMR) using a specialized pet nursing bottle or syringe. Do not give them cow's milk, as it causes severe digestive issues.
Should I feed my kitten a bottle or syringe?
A bottle is ideal if the kitten has a strong natural sucking reflex, as it mimics natural nursing. A syringe is typically preferred for very weak or premature neonates who struggle to latch onto a nipple.
