Really powerful suction for such a tiny device. Not sure if it would work for a professional, but for me at home, it works great. The dust collection was so great, I didn't have to sweep my desk off afterwards. It was a little loud but not nearly as loud as say, a vacuum cleaner. I'd say closer to an e-file while you're using it on hardened gels.
