Easy to apply cushion foundation
This is the first time I've tried twist up cushion foundation- and it's a nice change from then compact style. Per the instructions I twisted three twists to to get it started wick worked easily, and then 2 twists for regular use. Its nice to have an easy way to manage application amount. Easy to smooth into my skin!

Really nice foundation
This is actually quite a nice liquid foundation, better than I would have expected. I have tried and used many brands over the years and recently have been alternating between my nars light reflecting in deauville and bare minerals in opal 1 for color reference. This shade linen is a step too dark for me and I've found that the color shell is my best match. This formula by Julep actually rivals my two favorites well. I wore it on half of my face for an entire day and it held up as well, if not better. My dry and sensitive skin looked smooth, dewy and still pretty fresh after a full day.The tube it comes in is very cool looking, but I am still a bit confused about how best to use it. I rotated it around several times as suggested, dispensed a few dots of the product directly onto my face, but then there was still so much left over at the top of the sponge applicator...wasn't sure what to do with all of the extra and what they meant by lining the pin back up after use. The other thing I am confused about is that it says this foundation is distributed out of New York, but made in China which is interesting because when I look up the Julep brand, it says it is Korean...just not exactly sure what the story is there. All in all, I actually really like the formula and the way it performed on my skin so I will continue using it and may even consider reordering it when I finish the tube...I will update this review if I do.
