FAQs
Should you put a cover over a puppy crate?
Yes, putting a cover over a puppy crate can be highly beneficial. It helps create a secure, dark, and den-like space that mimics a natural shelter, which effectively minimizes distractions, reduces crying at night, and helps calm anxious puppies.
What is the best dog crate cover?
The best dog crate cover is one made from durable, windproof, and breathable fabric like oxford cloth, featuring adjustable windows for ventilation. It should fit your specific crate size perfectly to block out excess light while ensuring adequate airflow.
Will covering the cage with a blanket at night stop a puppy from crying?
Covering the cage can significantly help stop a puppy from crying by blocking visual stimuli that cause alertness or anxiety. Using a dedicated, breathable crate cover is safer than a heavy blanket as it ensures proper ventilation while creating a dark sleep environment.
