Product details
Description
The KB2 Enterprises Original 3-54Mhz 1:1 Current Balun is engineered to serve as a reliable replacement for a dipole antenna center insulator while effectively optimizing signal transmission. Built with a low-permeability ferrite-coated toroid core, this device operates smoothly across a frequency range of 3 to 54 MHz.
It handles up to 2000 watts PEP for SSB and 1000 watts for CW or digital modes, making it an excellent addition to high-power amateur radio stations. Designed to minimize common-mode current on the outer shield of coaxial cables, it prevents stray RF from traveling back into the shack, which protects electronic equipment from interference and RF burns.
The robust weatherproof housing features internal gaskets, ensuring dependable permanent outdoor installation and long-term durability in varied environmental conditions.
How to use
- Mount the balun securely at the center of your dipole antenna using the included U-shaped clamp.
- Connect your antenna wires to the designated terminals and attach your 50 ohm coaxial cable using the SO-239 UHF connector.
- Ensure all outdoor connections are properly sealed against moisture before operation.
Ingredients
