  Be careful with that glue! No, seriously!

  I used to get my nails done regularly at the salon. It always made me feel classy, you know that kind of put together that says "I may be wearing blue jeans and a t-shirt now, but I could be headed to a fancy dress charity gala tonight - you'll never know!" Sadly, it got to the point where I just couldn't afford the cost of those regular trips to the salon. I worked in healthcare and our policy forbid the use of glue on nails because of the risk of bacteria/fungus growing in the nail glue, so I couldn't use a product like this and just had to let that classy feeling go. Now I'm no longer working in healthcare and can do what I want!All of that is to say that this was my first time trying this type of product. I was super nervous. I was sure I'd botch up the glue part. I was right.Seriously, read the Safety Information section of the Dropy listing BEFORE you start! Do not try to pry your glued finger off of any other finger or object. Your skin WILL be the weak point that will tear, NOT the glue. Also, please do not ask how I know this to be true.So, beyond that steep newbie learning curve, the actual application wasn't that difficult. I can tell that the first nails I started with have air pockets because I didn't use enough glue in the right places. That's probably why the right thumb nail came off within hours. (Well, that and wearing an oversized glove while walking my dog in the snow.) I was pleasantly surprised to find that the glue tube had not dried up at that point, though, so I was able to just glue that sucker right back on and it has stayed there this time. I consider that a definite point in favor of this particular brand.The other nails look beautiful and just as classy as I could get from a salon. They are elegant and understated in a way that will complement any outfit or activity without seeming overdone during casual events. I will say that I would prefer that the white bands on the tips were a little bit wider. I used to have my nail tech do that and it made my nails look longer, even though I kept them relatively short. The product includes a lot of different nail options to make it easier to find 10 that fit. That took me a while.For any other newbies out there, I will also add that I feel the instructions are not the greatest. They've got the basics on the back of the product, but I would have appreciated an insert to give tips for preparing my nails. Even the directions on the listing seemed insufficient. I went online to find the information instead. Here's the process I followed: wash hands, trim and shape nails, buff nails just enough to remove the shine, very lightly scuff the back of the press on nails and file off any sharp edges from the manufacturing process, *wipe nails with alcohol*, apply glue to artificial nail and natural nail, then angle the nail to align with the cuticle and press together for 10-15 seconds. It seemed to work better when I squeezed out a bit of glue and then rubbed the applicator over the nail to spread it out instead of just using a single dot. Again, be very, very careful with the glue. If you get some on your skin, just stop and wait for it to dry. It won't take long. Then finish your nails and you can work on getting the dried glue off later. Trust me.

  Best press ons I've ever tried! Obsessed!

  I only just started wearing press ons with in the last year so I haven't had a ton of exposure to many brands. I have ordered quite a lot of press ons though that were priced lower than these kiss nails, around the same price or higher than them and I've found some nails that I really liked that I thought were really decent quality. Then I ordered this set which just happened to be my first time ever trying Kiss nails and they've changed everything I ever thought about press ons. Kiss has absolutely blown me away with these nails!This set of nails comes with liquid nail glue, a nail file that also has a buffer on the other side, a cuticle stick and 14 sizes of nails. The nail sizes actually shocked me because a lot of the press ons that I've tried seem to cater more to smaller nail beds and those of us with larger nail beds often can't use the nails because they'll be missing one or more of the sizes that we need. This set is the first set that I've ever seen that carries a size 00 nail and a size 0 nail. Half of the nail kits I get will only have a size 1 as the largest nail and most of the time I wear a size 0 on my thumb, occasionally a size 1 and sometimes neither is big enough. With this set though, the size 1 fit my thumb which was awesome to see since people with nail beds larger than mine can also use this set.Not all my nail beds are the same which can make finding the correct size nail really difficult for me. Some of my nail beds are wider near the free edge than they are at the cuticle, some are more parallel the whole length of my nail. My ring fingers are my trouble fingers as the nail beds on those fingers are my longest nail beds besides my thumbs. I also have a stronger c-curve on those fingers while my other nails are slightly flatter. The nails on my ring fingers also curve slightly downward. This is always a problem with nails that are any shape other than square or squoval. What tends to happen is the sides of the free edge of my nail on my ring fingers tend to stick out from underneath the fake nails. Because of these problems, I usually have to wear a size larger than I need to on these nails which tends to be the same size as my middle finger. I don't think I've ever found a set of press ons where I was able to find a size that fit all of my nails well and where the nails didn't stick up off my fingernails. I explain all of this because with this set of Kiss nails, for the first time ever I was able to find a size for all of my nails and they fit perfectly in every way. I was absolutely shocked by this and blown away!In addition to to containing 14 sizes of nails, there are also 2 extra size 5 and 2 extra size 7 nails. This is something I really appreciate when brands do since there are people like me that sometimes need the same size nail for more than 2 fingers. Usually the sizes that brands include extras of are never the sizes that actually fit any of my nails since I always wear the largest sizes and the extras always come in the middle sized nails. With this set though I actually do wear the size 5 nail so that was pretty cool.The nails are so well made and look absolutely gorgeous. I really love that the nail isn't just one thickness like you see with so many brands. These kiss nails are thicker at the free edge but it's an average thickness and then they're thinner at the cuticle. I absolutely love this because this makes the way the press on sits on your own nail look so much more natural and more real. The polish on the nails is perfect and I love that they did the French tip on the underside of the nail. This actually makes the nail look more natural since the free edge of a person's nail is never as white as what you see most French tips.These nails give you a really natural look while still feeling glamorous. This whole nail kit from Kiss has impressed me so much and I honestly can say that I don't know if I will ever be able to wear press ons again from any other brand. I feel so spoiled by these nails and Kiss. I will definitely be ordering these nails again and will be checking out other styles from Kiss. Definitely don't pass these nails up, they are incredible! Definitely a Kiss fan now!

  High quality, affordable press ons

  This is my first time trying Kiss nails, and so far I am thoroughly imPRESSed lol. This set is "short squoval" and they are ACTUALLY short! Every other press on nail brand's "short" nails have actually been pretty long on me, and I don't like long nails, so five stars just for this! The white of the French tip is painted on the underside of the nail, which gives a subtle and feminine vibe that again, I haven't had with other brands. In my opinion, much softer/prettier/natural and less garish than the white tip on top. This should also help with any color chipping that may occur over time! The variety of sizes included in this set is great (14, from 00-12.) Never seen size 00 offered before! And doubles of sizes 5 and 7. The nail tip is thicker than the cuticle tip which looks natural and helps with durability. I used the included nail file/buffer and cuticle pusher before applying, along with the included nail glue. So far so good, but I'll be sure to update my review with how long the nails last me before they start coming off. I'm pretty rough on my nails and hands, so we'll see. But already I will solely be looking to Kiss Nails for all of my press-on needs! The price is very good too. **EDIT**: It's now been a week and my nails haven't chipped whatsoever, or budged/lifted even a tiny bit!! And like I said, I'm pretty rough on my nails. Not only is the quality of the nails impressive, but the included glue is as well for there to be no lifting or nails falling off after a week. With other brands, I'd have been missing several nails at this point already. Even the most popular glue brand isn't as good and strong as this Kiss glue! Can't recommend highly enough, and for this price, stop thinking and just add to cart!! 10/10!!
