    First Mascara In A long Time That Does Not Irritate My Eyes!! Lasts All Day, A Little Clumping

    I am thrilled by this mascara for one main reason: it does NOT irritate my eyes even wearing from morning to night. This is a very rare experience for me, even with other "sensitive" brands. Aside from my being able to wear it for more than an hour or two.... this is a nice mascara though it does have a tendency for me to clump my lashes together. I get no flaking or other problems I've had with other mascara's. So long as I have something to separate the clumps I can live with the clumping. This does not seem to extend my miserably short eyelashes much if any at all. The black color does make what I have stand out in a positive way. I don't think I can expect much more, right? This is the waterproof version (there are two variations on this product listing). It is indeed waterproof. I learned this from laughing with friends so hard I was crying. Not exactly scientific but still I think a good test. It does come off very easily with my eye makeup remover (mountain falls, a lot like the Neutrogena version eye makeup remover). If I come home exhausted and just collapse in bed it washes off completely with my morning shower and plain old soap and water. This La Roche-Posay Mascara has exceeded my expectations completely, just by not irritating my eyes. It's not the most perfect mascara but with a better applicator wand it might be for me. As I started out, just being able to wear it irritation free gets 5 stars from me. If you have sensitive eyes this may be a great option.

    La Roche-Posay Toleriane Mascara for sleek black lashes

    I love mascara and am passionate about beauty care. I know the importance of finding beauty care items that perform as claimed. When I choose a mascara I look for a type that does not clump and easily coat my lashes. I also like waterproof mascaras as I frequently am in humid environments and occasionally get splashed as well with water. I have long lashes but look for a mascara that lengthens my lashes and does not cause a webbed look. The La Roche-Posay mascara is at the time considered a premium or professional mascara. It goes on easily and is very waterproof as stated. It is difficult to get off of my eyes with makeup remover as well. I do not think it surpasses or outperforms many brands that I have used that are not considered professional or premium. However, it does stay on my lashes. It is fairly wet during application and takes some time to dry on the eyes. It is nice to have a mascara not dry out too quickly because it can decrease its lifespan but this stays wet on my lashes for some time. I do not see additional volume but it does enhance the length of my lashes. It does clump some but it is pretty and leaves my lashes dark and sleek. It does not irritate my eyes and is a good mascara but I find that there are several brands that are similar that are not considered a premium mascara.
